Self-Dispatching Drift
There has been some drift with units, mostly fly cars, self-dispatching themselves on jobs. The GO for multiple paramedic response is linked below as a reminder. No one should respond to a call unless sent by the dispatcher. If someone is on admin (not assigned to the road) and would like to offer help to the dispatcher as an additional unit, that is acceptable. 5.23.01 Double Paramedic Response.docx
CHS Temperature Survey
As we talked about at the Staff Meeting on Wednesday, we have put together a Temperature and over all Engagement survey to see how we have been doing the past 6 months. Transfer Info
When reporting for a transfer please make sure to gather all of the paperwork needed from the sending facility, this includes a face sheet, PCS form and voucher form. You should also be obtaining a a HIPAA signature for all interactions. If you have any issues getting any of this paperwork please let Dawn know. emsCharts Temp
There is a data rule related to patient's temperature (#2132) that is now appearing in emsCharts. Please see the screenshots below. To satisfy the rule, providers will need to either document a temperature on Page 8 (Activity Log) or select either "Unable to Complete" or "Refused". [click to view screenshots]
emsCharts Changes
On 1/1/23 I will be making some changes to emsCharts. The CHS Case # and CAD Event # will be swapping places. This is anticipation of CAD import going live at some point next year. I will be turning off all data points that pertain to running out of the Hilton Station. 08-18 shift will be turned back on. In anticipation of all this I will need all charts for 2022 to be advanced out of S0 so I can adjust the data validations to account for the year 2023.- Steve L.
BHACC Alternitive Destination Reminder
The Rochester Regional Health Behavioral Health Access and Crisis Center (BHACC) is an outstanding, but under-utilized resource in our community. Currently open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm, it provides a multitude of services for individuals in crisis.
