Gibs going away party!

We will be having a get together to send our good friend Lt Gibson off onto his new journey as a police officer!  All members from CHS are welcome to stop by and have some fun with friends! If you are able, please bring a dish to pass.  The party will be on Monday October 8th, from 2pm-11pm @ 25 Da Vinci Drive in Chili. Please RSVP to Lt Tornstrom to let us know how much food we need! 

Propio – Interpreter Resource

This is a service used by CHS when you encounter a patient that does not speak or understand English. There is a resource card in the clip board on every ambulance which includes the account number and brief instructions for connecting to an Interpreter. Please review the prior to making the phone call.

Defib Pad Packaging Change

The packaging of the Adult/Child defib pads have always been red & white. That made it easy to distinguish them between the Infant Pads which come in a green & white packaging. PLEASE NOTE: The NEW Curaplex brand Adult/Child defib/pacing pads come with a green label similar to the Infant Philips pads. To avoid confusion, until the Philips pads are used up, a large red label has been added to the new pads as safety check. Please look at the pictures closely that are attached.

October Staff Meeting - Crockpot Dinner

October is the CHS Annual Potluck/Crockpot Dinner at the staff meeting. Everything is welcome: casseroles, crockpot meals, desserts. If you want to make it, we want to have it!! We need to keep track to ensure we have plenty of food and if necessary supplement what is brought. Please let Peg know what you plan to bring.

Flu Shots

Northern Star will at the October Meeting. Reminder flu shots are mandatory. If you get it done elsewhere, please provide proof of immunization. There is a sign up sheet for the flu shots in the dispatch office. Please call the duty officer or Peg and they can add you to sign up sheet. Bryx Safety

Just a reminder that at no time should the driver be looking at Bryx messaging while the vehicle is in motion. Your partner may use the navigation feature to get to the scene, but confirm the directions are accurate. There are multiple messages going out, NONE of which the driver needs to see. The person in the passenger seat can monitor Bryx. When transporting to the hospital, there is NO need to watch Bryx.
