Rehab bags
There is now an additional rehab bag in Chili (“Rehab bag #2”) that is a navy blue duffle bag similar in size and shape to the one in Henrietta (“Rehab bag #1”). This bag contains all the same equipment as the bag in Henrietta, except the bag in Henrietta has two RAD 57 units. Both bags contain a Cyanokit as well as updated protocol information for smoke inhalation and CO2 exposure. CS Kit Switchover
On April 26, 2017, the CS Kits will be switched over to the newer, smaller kits. In addition to all the medications, the only things carried in the kits will be a 3cc syringe, a 5cc syringe, and an 18G needle. Please do not add anything to the kits. Each kit will have a carabiner as well as a secure snap on it so they will be easier to carry on your person or in your pocket. read more

Change in System Status Plan
The Resource Deployment committee has evaluated data from the first 2 months of the new plan and recommended some slight adjustments. A few highlights: • No movement @ status 4 • Only moving @ status 3 if one of the stations is completely out of ambulances • No change to overnight plan • BLS ambulances should respond to all BLS calls in the district so long as the response time is within 20 minutes. Patches and Sleeves are coming together for CHS
Patches cannot be replaced on existing shirts therefore everyone will be getting replacement shirts. Please put in a uniform request based on the guidelines below. Protocol Binders
Over the coming days, the protocol binders in each vehicle will be updated to the new 2017 NYS Collaborative Protocols. They will be full-size white binders and the protocols will be printed in color for your convenience. The binder should continue to remain in the rear patient compartment area whenever possible. read more
Chili Station Door Access
The new access system at the Chili Station is active as of today. Your current HVA/CHS ID badges will now work and the fobs will not. Please return your fobs to Gabrielle at your earliest convenience. read more
