CHS Blood Program

We are excited to announce that, beginning today, CHS is officially carrying prehospital blood products.

To our knowledge, CHS is the first and only ground EMS service in New York State currently carrying blood. This milestone represents an incredible amount of work, including extensive research, equipment acquisition, clinical preparation, and operational planning. We are extremely grateful to everyone who contributed their time, expertise, and effort to making this program a reality.

The status board will reflect which units are currently carrying blood products. However, a trained Blood Medic may also be available in the office and can be requested when needed.
